2006 September, left Lordsmead plot and moved to new site at Hardenhuish.
2003 Overall a good start to the year but a severe drought meant that not
much grew after June/July. Sprounts for Christmas for example tasted good
but were very small.

Hope to actually record which seeds I sow this year so that I can decide what
to order for 2003!

Harvesting Raspberries - Autumn Bliss definitely the best
25/2/01
Snow! But actually not too cold. Shallots went in last week and broad
beans sowed in greenhouse as seed in ground from last year shows no signs of
emerging.
13/1/01
Replacement raspberry canes arrived from Marshalls. First weekend in a
long time when ground has started to dry out so William helped with some weeding
and canes went in.
1/1/01
The rain never seems to stop, we have had over 1000mm of rain in the last 12
months! Broad beans show no signs of coming up although garlic seems to
have survived the floods.
10/9/00
The corn on the cob has been a great success - by the time we finish we will
have harvested about 200 cobs and they seem reasonably spread out in
maturity. I can recommend Marshalls' Supersweet
2/9/00
The boys were pleased with their entries in the allotment show; Edward
had 1st for his vegetable creature and his painting, William had 1st for his
craft item and his miniature garden he also won a shield for best exhibit in his
age group. We had 1st for our garlic and 2nd for tomatoes, runner beans
and sweet corn.
13/8/00
We wait with baited breath for the corn on the cob.
2/8/00
This week we shall be mainly picking runner beans.
